Bible Reasons For Supporting A Christian Children's Home

Involvement with A Christian children's home partially fulfills the Great Commission given by our Lord in Matthew 28:18-20. There have been literally hundreds of children who have made professions of faith over the years at Rivers Of Mercy Children's Home. Many of those have been baptized.

Supporting a children's home partially fulfills the commission of our Lord concerning children in Luke 18:16 “But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”

God is a Father to the fatherless and partnering with a children's rescue ministry is participation in God’s Paternal work among children. Psalm 68:5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. 6 God setteth the solitary in families:”

Participation with a children's home ministry partially fulfills the call for pure undefiled religion. James 1:27 “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.“

Supporting God's work with abused children brings blessings to you. Deuteronomy 24:19 When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be... for the fatherless, ... that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.

There is just something right about helping destitute children in an organized, scriptural way. The time is now.
