I have smiliar thoughts, at my young age in the ministry, I can recall one time where the advesary (satan) was particularly on the attack and I wanted to chuck it all, BUT GOD showed me two things in that strggle 1. I am a servant of the most high God, and 2. no matter how insignificant I feel in the ministry God's desire for me is to not grow weary in well doing, for in eternaity I will get to see the results for His glory.
Brother, I want you to know I would not be the person I am if God had not brought you into my life. I thank God for you.
Final thought: A guy was walking along a beach and throwing starfish back into the water, their were 1000's of starfish, another guy saw this and asked the man "Why are you doing this--you are not making a difference?" My friend and distant mentor (whither realized or not), this small man among the masses is foundationally greatful for your work in the ministerial realm. It is pastors like you, as well as my own pastor, which help me to press on for a life of faithfulness. That one day I might look back on a life-time of ministry as many others before me and be able to praise God for a life well lived for Him. So thank you for your conclusion and to all pastors who would profess the same.
